Petra, Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan
No trip to Jordan would be complete without a visit to Petra, the rock-cut capital city of the Nabateans. Of course it's also a UNESCO World Heritage site. My driver organised for me to have an official guide who took me through the Siq and around the main colonnaded street area before I was left to climb up to ad-Deir. It would have been very easy to spend a couple of days there as it's a massive site with plenty to see but the following day I was off to Wadi Rum.
